About us
We have this hope…
… as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain…”
— Hebrews 6:19
With compassion for the lost and hurting world, we are looking for ways to build relationships from within our local community. We aim to take a different approach in reaching out and reflecting the love of Jesus Christ along the journey.
We are a church within the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
Meet Our Pastor
Matthew A. Dubocq is founder and Senior Pastor of Hope Chapel. He was born and raised in Massachusetts. Matt has a BA in Political Science from Syracuse University and a Masters of Divinity from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
The Gospel Changes the Heart.
Our Vision
“…walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” — Ephesians 4:1-7

A Loving Community
We strive to be a community united by the love of Jesus Christ. We want to be a community that grows out of the solid foundation of the Gospel of Grace.
-
Real
We want to be an open and authentic community. The security that comes with the Gospel (God loving us to the point of death, despite our undeserving brokenness) should enable us to be real with ourselves and others.
-
Visible
We want to be evident in our local community and the world. We want to serve and work together, remembering the words of Jesus when he said, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.” – Matthew 5:14
Our Mission
Why do we build relationships?
We build (that is to grow, create, and develop) relationships so we can:
-
Reach
We build relationships to reach the lost. We do this by following the words of Jesus, “Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit…” – Matthew 28:19
-
Connect
We build relationships to connect with others and reflect the love of Jesus. Loving even when it is not reciprocated; showing mercy to those who do not know Jesus as Savior; willingly serving others.
-
Disciple
We build relationships to help others grow in their faith. We want to lead Christians toward personal holiness; commitment to the Lordship of Jesus; compassion for the oppressed and lost.
Why do we reflect love?
We reflect love (self-sacrificing, unconditional love) to show our community, and the world, our Savior Jesus Christ and his radical message of the Kingdom of God where, “the last will be first, and the first last.” – Matthew 20:16.
