Statement of Faith
As part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), we follow the Westminster Standards. The structure and order of our governance and services are defined in the Book of Church Order (BCO). You can read the Book of Church Order and Westminster Confession at the PCA Administrative Committee website. We also honor the the Heidelberg Catechism as another confession that reflects our Reformed Protestant faith. Below we have collected a general, summarized statement of faith.
We Believe
- Salvation is by grace through faith in the person and work of Jesus, not by our works. We believe that we’re saved to glorify God and to be a blessing to others. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
- Every person needs to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Acts 4:12)
- The Grace found in Jesus Christ is real, important, and life changing. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
- The Gospel must be communicated with love and mercy. (James 3:17-18)
We Know
- God loves people. (John 3:16)
- Christianity is a relationship and a lifestyle. (Romans 6:5)
- Imitating Christ is the goal of every believer. (Ephesians 5:1)
- It is better to give than to receive. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
We Are Committed To
- Worshiping God in church and in life.
- Building relationships with unchurched people.
- Loving others through service.
- Meeting together for support and friendship.
- Giving of time and resources to spread hope through the local church.
